P1 have been out exploring the winter weather. Firstly, we explored the frost and ice left in the playground and outdoor learning area. We discussed the weather we see in Winter and how the water freezes to become solid ice. We looked closely at the heavy frost and saw that it looked like spikes or hairs. In the outdoor learning area, our poor water tray toys had been trapped in the ice! We were then very lucky that we got to experience more winter weather in the form of snow! We discussed how snow is frozen water which forms and falls from the clouds. It was a very exciting but cold day in P1!
