We tried to recreate what Jim, the main character in our class novel (Street Child), would have eaten in the workhouse. It consisted of smelly cheese, stale bread and gruel. Apart from the cheese, the consensus was that everything was very tasteless and unappetising. Some of the faces are hilarious!
We hope to use this inspiration for our workhouse inspired diary next week.
